As you get older you have to listen to your body more and if you suffer from any medical condition obviously seek medical advice re working out. However, you can still develop muscle and working out offers many benefits to your health.
There are many gym goers and athletes that now go on in to their elder years sometimes competing at high levels. Although your body may be slowing down it is still capable of a lot more than you think and as everybody has a different genetic make up, some people are more capable and can go on longer than others.
Working out can help the elderly skeletal structure and can help with joint problems etc. Always seek medical advice before embarking on any exercise program.
